My 27 year old brother's getting married this weekend and I am so thrilled. I’ve been looking forward to it for years already! Not because I don’t like having him around, it’s just that I want this family to grow.
My brother is a really good man. When I was younger, he would bring me out together just to walk around orchard or catch a movie. He is a talented graffiti artist who was the biggest inspiration for me to do Art. Unlike any typical brothers who tend to scold their siblings rudely, mine doesn’t. He treats me right all the time. He talks to me like a gentleman even when I’m impolite. He offers me a drink whenever I’m tired and he is always trying to start a conversation even if it is something really random which I usually ignore. Whatever it is, tonight, I just realised how proud I am to have a brother like him.
Together with his wife-to-be, they are creating a new family, knitting together their lives, their stuff, their hopes, fears, pasts and futures. I couldn’t be happier for them. I can’t wait to witness the wedding of such a great couple. I know it’ll be a fantabulous time celebrating with family & friends and Insya’Allah this long weekend will turn out smoothly for us.
