I wish I was lucky enough to be invited to the annual VS fashion show! It’s that time of year again where we can all see the beauties after their intense workout and diet regimens (I actually read some articles on the net about how they prepped and it was really scary), all dolled up parading on the catwalk! I just am so besotted with their hair; big, volumous, full of waves and just plain gorgeous! I feel so inspired when I see all their stunning lingerie; they are so unique and mesmerizing. You know, every time I go to lingerie stores with any of my girls, they would be like, “Gurrrl, why do you need to buy all these fancy stuffs? They’re just underwear!” Shrugs, I don’t think it’s wrong to invest in them, even if nobody’s gonna see. I’ve actually never bought anything from VS besides perfumes, but someday probably i will.

Miranda Kerr is my favourite by default. She’s so adorable and dazzlingly beautiful at the same time, although I do have a major soft spot for Chanel Iman, and my absolute favourite model Karlie Kloss made her debut this year too. Hot stuff. Have you ever wondered how crazy it must have been for the angels and the crew at backstage with all these humongous wings/props on them? I would go bonkers! I mean, when you think about - that's some damn good marketing right there. Respect to Victoria, her secret and her angels.

So from what I found out, the show included 6 themed collections: Ballet, Super Angels, Passion, Angels Aquatic, I Put a Spell on You & Club Pink. I personally love the Super Angels & Angels Aquatic. So so beautiful. Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine performed, so that alone was a party, eh?

I just can’t wait to to watch the official recording! Premièring on 29 November across most fashion capitals (no, Singapore isn’t on the list), the best bet would be to wait for youtube releases or stalk FTV. (Thank god my parents subscribed!) Liu Wen was the first Chinese model to walk a Victoria's Secret runway show in 2009.


Miranda Kerr was the queen of the night in this $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure Bra! She told the Post that breastfeeding helped get her into shape for the show.


Sui He, a chinese model, one of the 12 newcomers said “I was so surprised. I never thought that I could do the show, it seemed so hard to me. It’s not my dream, it’s bigger than my dream. The Victoria’s Secret show, for Asians girls, it’s very difficult to get it. But now I’m here!” She looks absolutely stunning!

Alessandra Ambrosio, wearing the Passion Play Fan Wings which are made of copper & gold with 105,000 Swarovski crystals which took 7 years to make and design. Nuts, right? I know! Did you know she is a mother? If im not wrong her daughter is 3 years old. She told ABC she would have to start lifting weights to strengthen her back and shoulders in order to wear her 30-pound wings. I was shocked to hear that they were so heavy!

Every year, it becomes less about fashion and more about the show itself- not that there’s anything wrong with that. I really love the fact that they included Liu Wen and Sui He in the show, it’s good that they’re having more diversity but I wish VS had more models of other races/ethnicities, other than the usual South American people and Caucasians. Did you realise Rosie was not on runway? I’m kind of disappointed though. I heard she’s no longer modelling for VS. I loved how she was the naughty angel!! Well, even if you don't care for the underwear, you have to appreciate the culmination of fashion design, art and engineering. Or you can appreciate all the ass and boobies strutting around…either way suits! xx
