I will write for myself, to alleviate the apprehension in the depth of my soul.

Rule #69: The way that we see the world, affects the way that we behave in it.

I reflected upon myself over the weekends and came to a few realizations. Sleeping after midnight has turned into a habit; it must be the reason why I feel so lethargic to do anything much during the day. My room’s been out of control lately- probably the biggest factor is the overwhelming number of clothes that I own now and I’m not kidding when I say my wardrobe has no more space to hang them all! I haven’t been volunteering myself to do the house chores since I’m often not at home. There are a number of books on my list that I’ve yet to read which I kept delaying. And it is shameful to say that I’m not a good Muslim as I haven’t been performing all my five obligatory prayers daily. Procrastination: Something that everyone is so familiar with and best at.

Before I went to sleep last Sunday night I thought to myself, what ever happened to me? Freedom is something that everybody wants to have and now that I’m 17 (turning 18), my parents have given it to me- to a certain extent of course- whereby they allow me to go out with whoever I want, they’re no longer strict with the curfew or bedtime, they let me make my own decisions and respect them all- I should not be taking advantage of it. Never.

I, for one, need to change the way I live my life and start being disciplined!

Unlike all other days, I felt rejuvenated this morning and decided to go for a run in the neighbourhood. The weather was perfect; it has just finished raining. The air crisp and the cooling morning breeze brushed through my face. Masya’Allah the feeling is amazing. I could not have asked for a better start than this.

I still have a to-do list for me to complete for this whole week. While i am busy checking them all, enjoy this pictures taken last Saturday!;)
